Hola, Does anyone have any idea how my husband & I can get tickets to see Spain V Scotland in October this year. The match is being played in Alicante & we both would love to go, but have no idea how we can get tickets for the match. Any ideas anyone?

WOW That's an expensive day out isn't it? Better start saving those euro's Everyone !! Personally I'd rather stay at home and watch it in the comfort of my own home, but saying that I won't because I don't like football !

SPAIN CLAIM 80 MILLION EUROS FOR CUCUMBER FIASCO

The minister for the environment announced that Spain will be claming 80 million euros in compensation from the EU as a measure of the lossed incurred by Spanish growers following the incorrect diagnosis that the spanish cucumbers(pepinos) were the cause for the e-coli outbreak originating in Germany. Subssequent more stringent tests carried out confirms that the fenugreek seeds from Egypt were the culprit and the EU have banned all imports of Egyptian seeds and beans

Torrevieja

This was a shame as it seriously affected the exports of all the agricultural industry. I hope that now that its been highlighted and confirmed where it originated from the interest returns and gets the Spanish back up on their feet.

UNEMPLOYMENT IN SPAIN

According to the Public Employment Services Offices unemployment fell in June by 67,858, thanks to the seasonal employment required over the summer season in the tourism and hostelry industries. The overall unemployment figure now stands at 4,121,801. We sincerely hope that the trend continues and and gets below the 4M mark.

Torrevieja

Epecially if Spain wants to get back to its boom years of the past and start to attract foreign investment again.

Bus Services from the Urb

I noticed the other day a new bus stop in the street behind us, (below Consume), but no bus time table, so wondered if anyone knew what buses stop there and times and will there be a bus from there to the beach.

The only problem with seeing a new bus stop,is that it was more than likely ordered a few years ago,Nobody hurries in Spain,Chances are it was cancelled a couple of years ago,so consequently it will be taken down at the end of 2012

Hi Alan, I have actually seen people using the bus stop, but I just want to know where the buses go to and times.

As I mentioned in another post We have even managed to get listed the times and stopping places for the summer bus that goes to the beach. http://lamarina.aspanishlife.com/topics/7-la-marina-subjects/articles/161-buses-to-la-marina-beach
However I was somewhat taken aback by there not being a Sunday service. A lot of people arrive on a Saturday and the next day would like to be able to go to the beach.
This morning even noticed on one Bus Stop an up to date list of when and where beach busses come and go. ONLY ONE PROBLEM bring steps with you or binoculars it is so high up that it just about or nealy readable. Bless them they tried.
